| Hello to all Spain Forum readers.
Those of you living in Javea will have noticed that about a month ago the doors were closed. I simply want to dispel a few of the rumors currently flying around.
Pitstop has not gone bust. Pitstop has not taken deposits for PC's and done a runner. Pitstop never took out a loan - from anyone. Pitstop employees are not under investigation by Microsoft and I am not in jail.
Much of the rumor mill starts with competitors who jump at the chance of causing as much harm as possible with a few well placed seeds. Now I'm not one to point the finger at another computer shop within a few kilometers but it saddens me that some people have little else to do in life than to knock the enterprise of others.
OK, all that said here's what really happened. I had a business partner, I worked in the shop (with staff sometimes) and for the first 18 months we were happily making a few euros. Many of you (especially other retailers) will know that the economic dip has hit many of us hard. Pitstop was without exception and I made the decision to close the doors and work from my workshop instead. Lower overheads means enough money to put food on the table.
On a last note, my partner and I have gone our separate ways, I am no longer a part of Pitstop, my ex business partner is an extremely intelligent and shrewd man who I feel will do something worthwhile with Pitstop.
In the meantime, if you need a callout to your home or office please let me know. I still work closely with a few select engineers who really know their stuff. So, no problem is too large or too small. Just call us on 686 597 685.
Many thanks if you got to this point.
